The Chinese American Museum DC presents Community Conversations, The Yin and Yang of Multi-Generational Living and Caregiving sponsored by AARP. This is a virtual event!
In Chinese philosophy, yin and yang is a concept of dualism, describing how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world.
What are the dynamics of multi-generational living? How can we care for the previous generation while gleaning from their experience to raise the next? Join the Chinese American Museum DC on Tuesday, June 22, 6-7 pm ET (3-4 pm PT) to hear from two families who have experiences of the yin and yang of multi-generational living and caregiving.
Event moderator, Mei Fong, Chief Communications Officer at Human Rights Watch, is author of One Child: The Story of China’s Most Radical Experiment, and lives in a multi-generational home with her husband, their children, and in-laws, event panelists June and Marshall Lih.
Joining the Lih family on the panel are the Reynolds. Katherine Reynolds Lewis is an award-winning journalist, author of bestseller, The Good News About Bad Behavior, and certified parent educator. The Reynolds household is a three-generation home including Katherine’s mother, panelist Yoke San Lee Reynolds.
