Parents with teenage children can appreciate how difficult it may be to talk to a teen. To promote inter-generational communication, we have sponsored an essay contest titled “Dear Mom, Dear Dad,” asking high school participants to write a letter to their parents. We have received more than 100 submissions, and these touching and often tear-inducing essays provided unique insights into our children’s struggles and desire to be heard and understood.
We invite you to join us for a roundtable discussion on these great essays.
We hope this discussion can serve as a catalyst for more parent-child dialogues in our families and help build a more supportive family environment for our children to develop a healthy and strong self identity.
